Support the Choral Society of Durham
We depend on the generosity of donors each year and, even with COVID-19 restrictions during the 2020-21 season, your support will be deeply appreciated in order to allow us to:
Support staff and musicians
We will continue to employ our three staff members (artistic director, accompanist and administrative assistant). We will also support additional musicians who performed with us in previous concerts that will be released for public enjoyment as well as hire musicians to accompany us in new virtually recorded pieces.
Maintain singer engagement
We have significantly reduced singer dues even while we still provide weekly (but virtual) rehearsals so they can continue to find joy in singing while working on vocal technique, learning new pieces, and deepen their understanding of music theory.
Present free choral content for all to enjoy at home
We will virtually record and present new songs as well as release some of our previously recorded performances throughout the year for all to enjoy. We also hope to release a program especially for members in our senior communities.
Invite the community to sing with us
We will provide opportunities for virtual “sing-alongs” allowing anyone to enjoy the experience of singing with us safely (and muted) from their homes.
You can donate online below or mail your donation to Choral Society of Durham, P.O. Box 72182, Durham, NC 27722.
Thank you for your support!

What a boon for the procrastinators, the absent-minded, the solicitation-averse among us! No more fund drive-generated indecision and guilt! And, with just a modest monthly drip from your funds into ours, no more big bites out of your bank account. You won’t feel a thing . . . But we’ll have the assurance of your gift’s ongoing presence in our budget.
You will be recognized and receive benefits at the Friend level equal to the value of a full 12-months of your pledge (e.g. $21/month = $252/year and receives recognition and benefits at the CSD Patron level). It’s a win-win situation if we ever heard one. Simple. Effective. And, believe us, deeply appreciated! All you have to do is select “make this recurring” on the donation page.
